Born of dragons, as their name proclaims, the dragonborn walk proudly through a world that greets them with fearful incomprehension. In the 2024 rules, dragonborn gain Darkvision and their Draconic Ancestry now grants a breath weapon usable once per Short or Long Rest, along with damage resistance matching their chosen dragon type.

The damage type matches your Draconic Ancestry. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses on a Short or Long Rest., Damage Resistance: You have resistance to the damage type associated with your Draconic Ancestry., Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of yourself as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light.
