An investigator's combined Strength and Size determines a Damage Bonus: a die (or negative modifier) added to melee and thrown weapon damage, reflecting raw physical power. A slight investigator might have no bonus or a small penalty; a powerfully built one might add 1d4 or more to every successful hit. Firearms typically don't benefit from Damage Bonus — a bullet doesn't hit harder because the person pulling the trigger is strong.
