Pricing and tiers

Skryrún has three tiers. Chronicler is free forever. Weaver and Runekeeper are monthly subscriptions. Every new account starts with a 14-day Runekeeper trial — no credit card required.

Chronicler (free)

Chronicler is free forever — no trial expiry, no credit card needed to maintain it. It gives you one world, 200MB of storage, and the full core editing experience: entity creation, rich text articles, wikilinks, the knowledge graph, and session mode.

What Chronicler does not include: co-editors, player portals, data export, or AI features. It is a good fit for solo worldbuilders and GMs running a single campaign who do not need to share the world with players.

Weaver ($5/mo)

Weaver is the working GM tier. It adds everything a GM needs to run a campaign with a live player-facing portal.

  • Up to 5 worlds
  • 5GB storage
  • 2 co-editors per world
  • Player portals — authenticated players browse world content through a scoped portal
  • Data export — download your world as JSON or markdown
  • Importer access — migrate content from other tools

AI writing assist is not included on Weaver.

Runekeeper ($25/mo)

Runekeeper is the full platform with no artificial limits.

  • Unlimited worlds
  • 25GB storage
  • Unlimited co-editors
  • AI writing assist for entity articles and descriptions
  • Character-Tagged visibility — per-character information control with AND/OR tag logic
  • Creator publishing — list and sell world content on the Skryrún marketplace
  • Portrait vault for NPC and character portraits
  • Session prep canvas

14-day free trial

Every new Skryrún account starts with a 14-day Runekeeper trial. During the trial you have access to every feature on the platform. At the end of the trial, you choose a tier or drop to Chronicler automatically.

Content created during the trial is always preserved regardless of which tier you land on. If you drop to Chronicler with 3 worlds, all three worlds are still there — creation locks until you are within the tier's limits, but nothing is deleted.

📝Note

No payment method is required to start the trial or to use Chronicler after the trial ends.

Founding member offer

Founding members receive Weaver free for one year. If you signed up during the founding window, this appears in Settings → Billing as an active Weaver subscription. After the year ends, it converts to a paid Weaver subscription unless you cancel or change tiers.

Downgrading

Downgrading is non-destructive. Skryrún never deletes your content when you move to a lower tier.

What happens when you downgrade:

  • Existing content is preserved. All entities, articles, sessions, and campaigns remain intact and editable.
  • Creation is locked at the new tier's limits. If you downgrade from Weaver to Chronicler with 3 worlds, you can edit all three but cannot create a fourth until you have deleted two.
  • AI-generated content is not removed. Text generated with the AI assist stays in your articles. You lose the ability to generate more until you upgrade.
  • Player portals become inaccessible to players if you drop below Weaver. The underlying data is preserved — portals reactivate immediately if you upgrade again.
💡Tip

Before downgrading, check your world count and storage usage in Settings → Billing. The page shows your current usage against each tier's limits so you can see exactly what will lock.

Troubleshooting

My 14-day trial ended and I'm worried I lost content. Nothing is deleted when your trial ends. All your worlds, entities, and session data remain intact. What changes is what you can create going forward — on Chronicler you can edit your existing content freely, but creation locks at the free tier's limits (one world, 200MB). Content from the trial is yours to keep.

I'm on Weaver but my player portal stopped working. Check that your Weaver subscription is active in Settings → Billing. If your payment failed or the subscription lapsed, portals become inaccessible until the subscription is restored. The portal reactivates immediately once billing is current again.

I downgraded tiers but I can't find some of my worlds. Worlds are never deleted on downgrade — they are just locked from creation. If you downgraded from Weaver (5 worlds) to Chronicler (1 world), you can still see and edit all five worlds. You just cannot create a new world until you are within the tier's limit.

I signed up during the founding member window but I'm not seeing Weaver for free. The founding member offer appears as an active subscription in Settings → Billing. If you don't see it there, your account may have been created after the founding window closed. Contact support with your account email to verify.
