Before you begin

A few useful answers.

Can I start for free?

Yes. Chronicler is free, with one world and one campaign. Start without a credit card. See Pricing for current limits and Rune allowances; beta availability is separate from your plan.

Do I have to change how I run games?

Keep your preferred rules, maps, and virtual tabletop. Use Skryrún for the world, the references you need during play, and the lore you share with your players.

Does my world stay mine?

Yes. Your lore belongs to you. Export your world in Markdown or JSON when you need a copy outside Skryrún.

Start with something small

One place. One person. One possibility.

You don’t need a finished world to begin. Give the first idea a home and see where it leads.

Chronicler is free. Grow when your world needs more room.
