Marketplace and community
The Skryrún Marketplace is where GMs share and sell worldbuilding content. You can browse complete worlds, adventure modules, stat block packs, and NPC packs — download what you need, fork it into your own account, and modify it freely.
Browsing
Filter marketplace listings by:
- Game system — 5e, Pathfinder 2e, Daggerheart, Starfinder, and others
- Listing type — complete worlds, adventure modules, stat block packs, individual stat blocks/NPCs
- Price — free only, or include paid listings
- Rating — community star ratings
Every listing shows a description, included content breakdown, and reviews from other GMs before you commit to downloading or purchasing.
Free vs. paid listings
Community listings are free. Any GM can submit one. Paid listings are created by GMs who have connected a payment account — purchasing gives you a full copy of the content in your account.
The Adversary Library is a free community library of stat blocks searchable by game system. It's separate from the main marketplace and doesn't require browsing listings — search directly for a creature or NPC type and use what you find. Access it from the Adversaries link in the dashboard sidebar.
Downloading and forking a world
When you download a free listing or purchase a paid one, the content is copied into your account as a fork. You get a full, editable copy. The original creator's future updates don't automatically override your changes.
If the creator publishes a new version of a world or module you've downloaded, you'll see an Update banner on the listing in your library. You can pull updates selectively:
- Review new and changed entities before accepting
- Accept, skip, or merge changes per entity
- Your custom edits to existing entities are flagged so you can decide whether to keep them or take the update
Library and Collections
The Library is your acquisition history — every listing you have downloaded or purchased. From the library, you can browse content by category or jump directly to the Marketplace to find more.
Collections let you save and organize listings for your own reference, or share a collection link with other GMs. Use collections to group content by campaign, game system, or theme. Both Library and Collections are accessible from the Content section of the dashboard sidebar.
Reviews and ratings
After downloading a listing, you can leave a star rating and a written review. You can update your review at any time. Reviews help the community find quality content — a few sentences about what worked and what didn't is more useful than a star rating alone.
Publishing your own content
👑 RunekeeperPublishing requires Runekeeper tier. Access the Creator Dashboard from the dashboard sidebar.
- Go to Creator Dashboard and click New Listing.
- Choose a listing type: complete world, adventure module, stat block pack, or individual NPC.
- Select which entities from your world to include. GM-only entities are excluded by default.
- Write a title and description, set a price (or make it free), upload a cover image, and add tags using the prebuilt tag picker.
- Submit for the automated completeness check. The check confirms the listing has the minimum required fields, preview content, and a game system tag.
- Once the check passes, the listing goes live in the marketplace.
To sell paid content, you need to connect a Stripe account from the Creator Dashboard before setting a price on any listing. Without a connected account, listings can only be published as free.
The Creator Dashboard tracks your published listings: download counts, ratings and reviews, and update management. When you publish a new version of a listing, buyers see the Update banner described above.
Editing a published listing
You can edit a published listing at any time from the Creator Dashboard, or push updated content directly from your world.
Editing metadata (title, description, cover, tags): Open the listing in the Creator Dashboard and click Edit. Change the title, description, cover image, or tags, then save. Editing a listing's title or description triggers a moderation re-review — the listing status changes to Sent for Review (amber) while the AI pre-screen runs. The listing remains available to existing buyers during review; it returns to full visibility once approved.
Pushing updated stat blocks or NPC blocks: When you update a stat block or NPC block in your world that has already been published to the marketplace, an Update Listing button appears on that card. Click it to sync your local changes to the marketplace listing. The update goes through moderation re-review before going live.
The Sent for Review status replaces the old "Updated" confirmation. This makes it clear that changed content will be reviewed before the new version is visible to new buyers.
Troubleshooting
The listing passed the completeness check but isn't showing in marketplace search. New listings can take up to 10 minutes to appear in search results after going live. If it still doesn't appear after 10 minutes, check the Creator Dashboard — the listing should show its published status. If it shows published but isn't searchable, contact support.
I purchased a listing but it's not in my library. Purchases are processed immediately but may take a moment to appear. Refresh the marketplace library page. If the listing doesn't appear after a full page reload, check that the purchase completed in your payment history. Contact support if the charge went through but the content didn't deliver.
I want to accept an update to a downloaded listing but I've heavily modified it. The selective update review shows your edits alongside incoming changes per entity. You can skip any entity update to preserve your version, or accept the update and manually reapply your changes. There's no automatic merge — you control what you take.
The "Publish" button is greyed out on my listing. Publishing requires a completed listing (title, description, at least one entity included, a game system tag) and a connected Stripe account if you're setting a price. Check the Creator Dashboard for the specific reason — it will note which required fields are missing.
I edited my listing but it's showing "Sent for Review" instead of going live immediately. Edits to a listing's title, description, or content trigger moderation re-review. This is expected — the amber "Sent for Review" status means the change is queued. Reviews complete automatically via AI pre-screen and typically resolve within minutes.
The "Update Listing" button isn't appearing on my stat block card. The button only appears when the stat block has already been published as part of a marketplace listing. If you haven't published that stat block yet, use the Creator Dashboard to create a new listing that includes it.
